Vita Dr. med. dent. Julia Steinmaier
Nach Abschluss ihres Zahnmedizinstudiums an der Westfälischen Wilhelms Universität in Münster im Jahr 2016 arbeitete sie allgemeinzahnärztlich als Assistenzzahnärztin in der Praxis von Dr. Jochims in Diepholz. Dort konnte sie ihr praktisches Wissen und ihre Erfahrung vertiefen, bevor sie ihre Fachzahnarztweiterbildung in der Praxis von Dr. Werner Schupp in Köln fortsetzte.
Während ihrer Weiterbildung in Köln etablierte Dr. Julia Steinmaier (geb. Funke) die In-House-Alignertherapie in der Praxis von Dr. Werner Schupp als Kieferorthopädin Köln.
Zudem entwickelte sich Dr. Julia Steinmaier (geb. Funke) zu einer erfahrenen Anwenderin der Invisalign-Behandlungsmethode und der skelettalen Verankerungstechniken (Minipins).
In 2020, Dr. Julia Steinmaier (née Funke) continued her specialist dental training at the Freiburg University Clinic under the direction of Prof. Dr. B.A. Jung, where she deepened her knowledge in the field of orthodontics and refined her skills in the treatment of complex cases.
Im Jahr 2021 erhielt Dr. Julia Steinmaier (geb. Funke) ihre Anerkennung als Fachzahnärztin für Kieferorthopädie durch die Landeszahnärztekammer Baden-Württemberg und schloss sich mit Dr. Schupp in der Gemeinschaftspraxis Dr. Schupp, Dr. Steinmaier (geb. Funke) zusammen.
Dr. Steinmaier has been using the DMD system since 2022. This enables her to examine and treat her patients' temporomandibular joints very precisely.
In January 2024, Dr. Steinmaier took over the practice from Dr. Schupp. At the same time, she also became a mother for the first time.
As an expert in TV and online media, Dr. Julia Steinmaier (née Funke) has also appeared in several RTL reports on current topics in modern orthodontics, including the risks of cheap dental splints and early orthodontic treatment in children.
Dr. Julia Steinmaier (née Funke) is the owner of the specialist orthodontic practice JUST KFO - Dr. Steinmaier & Kollegen. She is a member of the German Society for Orthodontics (DGKFO) and the German Society for Dental, Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine (DGZMK), as well as the Professional Association of German Orthodontists (BDK). She is also actively involved in the working group for craniomandibular and musculoskeletal medicine (CMM) and regularly takes part in further education and training in the field of TMD .
Her passion for orthodontics and her striving for excellence, which she also expresses through regular publications in specialist journals, have contributed to her being a popular speaker at congresses and advanced training courses as an orthodontist in Cologne.
